The capital of Portugal makes for a very nice road trip from Seville or Madrid, though Extremadura, perhaps with a stop in Badajoz, before reaching Lisbon itself, some 2-3h away. Portugal being out of Spain has had an independent history since the 15th Century. With multiple colonies around the world, Portugal prides now on having a global representation of its own population. Great richness brought in from their maritime expeditions have made the country be prosperous, and Lisbon is a representation of this, prosperous and free country with its own blend, character and charisma for us to all enjoy, in a very special, unique emplacement.
